ABOUT US

Aerobatic Centre Karlovy Vary was founded in 2015 as an alternative to LAC Karlovy Vary which has had to stop it's activities. At present we have dozens of actively flying members.

We evolved to the only air service provider in the region of Karlovy Vary who offers scenic flights or monitoring flights. All this is possible thanks to our qualified pilots and instructors. Our base situated at the internationl airport Karlovy Vary gives us the advantage of safe all season operations.

There is a number of flight training courses we offer to all those who are interested, starting at basic private pilot license, with possible extension to formation flying, flying at night, aerobatics, cross-country flying, taildragger courses or type ratings for various light aircrafts.

We started with several airplanes rented from Czech National Aero Club. These were Zlin Z-43, Z-142, Z-50M and Decathlon. We bought a Cessna C172, two Zlins Z-526 and one more Z-142 later. Although our fleet is quite big, our aircrafts are kept in perfect technical condition for safe flying.

Due to our specialization in Sportsman and Intermediate competition aerobatic training, our member base grows by enthusiasts from other clubs and flight schools from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad. When confident in Intermediate category, many of our competitors continue to LAC Moravská Třebová, where they are trained in Advanced and Unlimited categories. We watch their steps forward and their success with great pleasure and satisfaction, as many of those, who belong to the best aerobatics pilots of the world today, started their career in our club.

To motivate our trainees we have organized prestigious international competition 'Karlovarský pohár' for more than 20 years. It is a regular competition with the longest tradition in the Czech Republic.

Since the beginning we are trying to be a 'different aeroclub'. We prefer personal and friendly attitude in contrast to sterile environment found in many commercial flight schools. Our members and instructors are friendly and nice group of people, people who fly with love and passion.
